Extended Warranty with which Company?

We have just bought a few kitchen appliances from Comet was going to take out extended warranty for up to 5 years but was wondering what would happen if they went bust as they send out their own repair people. Who would cover this. Would it be better taking this extended warranty cover with Domestic & General Insurance instead. Thanks for help.
